Monster Energy Supercross 6 Reveals Career Mode With Trailer "Journey"

The upcoming supercross game from Milestone shared a trailer and details on the new career mode. The revamped system will see the player getting coached by Jeremy McGrath, renowned as the "King of Supercross", while climbing the standings.

This renewed career mode aims to improve the experience for any single-player enjoyers with a new experience to live through. This new system will be supported by revised AI and physics, aiming to "ensure the most realistic competition". The improved rider shape system will allow mental and physical health to have more impact on driver performance.

The Story will take riders through the Supercross Academy, in which Jeremy McGrath will be the player's personal coach. Personalised challenges and tutorials aim to help players improve their skills and climb through different class ladders.

Both the 250SX and 450SX championships will be featured in this mode.

Riding aids are also said to have been revised, allowing players to customise assists like auto steering, auto brakes, auto throttle and the like. Bike set-ups will also be available for being worked on and finally, a skill tree will allow the player to decide the path they want to take.

For online players, full console cross-play will be available with a new ranking system.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6 is set to release worldwide on March 9, 2023 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC.

Storylines in career mode in racing games is the No1 reason why I would not buy a title.I go straight to the skip button.
Such a shame bike games all feel arcadey and not very sim like because of the controls.Would be great if a hardware manufacturer could develop a more realistic way to play motorcycle games.

Maybe because Im 50+ I feel the speaker in the video are talking to me as I was 5 years old.
Ok to be honest then maybe as I was 6 years old - but wanted to be like the superheroes in current movies :roflmao:

mx bikes feels pretty good when you get a good flow going but the slow speed physics issues and connection problems in multiplayer make it a bit of a pain in the ass too. and its like 50-100 hours to figure out how to control a bike and the riders body position with a game controller before you can really enjoy yourself at all. like 1000 hours to be competitive at the top level online

Story-mode is something that makes me quite curious on a game. I really like a nice little SP-experience now and then.

On another note. Monster Supercross number... 6!?! It feels like they just released number 2 or something.

Why this type of game never seems to evolve? I watch the trailer and think "it is the same thing I played back on my PS1"... If at least it had some split-screen campaign I would consider buying.

Those old ps2/ps3 Mx vs Atv games were better than this stuff. Hell even Motocross Madness was better and I mean that.

If anything they have devolved, They were better 20 years ago.

These games work best with a simple control system, adding complexity doesn't make them more realistic or engaging, it does the opposite as the physics spaz out and crap happens that is just nonsense or that the user has no control over.
