MOZA Racing announced today a very affordable direct drive wheel base, wheel and pedals bundle retailing for only $599 and another new product to their ecosystem: the FSR Formula Wheel.

Update: Unfortunately MOZA Racing has decided, by giving affiliate partners such as ourselves a last minute notice, to cancel all Discount Codes with immediate effect. This means our beloved premium members are not longer able to purchase MOZA Racing goods with the promised 5% discounted rate anymore. We are not happy with MOZA's approach and timing as this gives us no more room to adapt and inform our users properly.

The entry level DD market was pretty much dominated last year by the Fanatec CSL DD wheelbase, but the MOZA R5 Wheel Base undercuts the price of the German company with a hundred bucks and adds pedals and a wheel on top. As our YouTuber Jermaine Smit already said to me after reviewing the R5 bundle for our channel: "Black Friday and Christmas have come early this year!"

The new MOZA products aim to satisfy both newcomers to direct drive wheels as well as veterans who are looking for a top-of-the-line wheel.

R5 Direct Drive Wheel Base

The R5 Wheelbase is MOZA’s newest entry-level direct drive wheelbase, with 5.5Nm of torque. It sports a similar, sleek black design to the R9, but with a smaller compact form.

The R5 bundle comes with a new wheel from MOZA. The ES wheel is a leather-rim wheel, sporting MOZA’s signature flow lights, quick release system and configurable buttons through MOZA’s software suite called MOZA Pit House.

Including in the bundle is a new set of SR-P Lite Pedals. These are an all-steel, lightweight revision of MOZA’s existing SR-P pedals. The pedals still feature flexibility and adjustability, minus the SR-P load cell brake system.

Are you curious to experience DD simulators but on a tight budget?
The R5 retails for only $599 USD, including the wheelbase, desk clamp, wheel, and pedals, representing the best direct drive package at this price point.

FSR Formula Wheel

The FSR Formula Wheel is MOZA’s newest premium wheel. It expands on the success of the GS GT Wheel, with a full carbon fiber frame and 4.3” HD screen featuring 15 different UI interfaces. It is 280mm in width, and sports perforated leather for the grips.

The FSR features an optional USB connection for increased compatibility. It also includes additional buttons on the wheel to ensure drivers can make any adjustment needed on the fly.

The new FSR Formula Wheel retails for $649 USD and is compatible with all MOZA wheelbases.

Mike Smith has reviewed the FSR Formula Wheel for us and a report will be published on in the coming days. Stay tuned.
