10th Anniversary Patch vs. (?) P&G

I have two installs of GTR2 (from DVD -- glad I kept it all these years!). One has the 10th Anniversary Patch and one is the "slimmed down" install of P&G. I'm wondering: is it possible to get the benefits of both (classic cars plus HQ tracks) in one install? If so, what order do I do things in?

Also, is there anything in either patch that changes the fundamental physics, FFB, etc. of the game?

I have made the HQ MODS COLLECTION to do exactly what you ask for : you can safely install the HQ MODS one by one in your PnG3 install, read carefully readme and that's it
