This Tueday we take on the 1983 Formula One cars around the 1991 version of Monza. It was the year that the turbos took over, and the end of an era as the mighty Cosworth DFV V8 won its last race. The Immense power of the turbos came with a fragility and terrible fuel economy that allowed the Cosworth powered cars to be within striking distance of an upset win, especially at the tighter tracks.

Whether you are a rookie racer or a seasoned veteran our casual club races are for everyone and every skill level. We combine fun events with discord chatter and a warm welcome to all our premium members.

Hoping the regulars turn up for this as the cars have come on a fair bit since launch. If you choose the turbo, be aware that 90% boost will kill the engine after 3 laps! You will need to practice with it for the full 25 minutes to see if it is doable on lesser boost. The NA cars are much friendlier, and only about 1-2 seconds off in Qualy trim.

After a few test laps I'll stick the McLaren. The turbo is nuts.

Sign me up please, will see what I can monitor to try and work out what is causing my game to freeze every 5 mins or so. Might not complete the race though

Added, Steve. If it's a VR issue, then try a different USB port as that cured my random disconnects in VR. The server is up, so if it's a sync /lag issue then you can test it at some stage.

Hi Greg, added. I'd defo do some recon laps in the turbo if you intend to use it. The other two are much easier to drive, and you don't need to Fear the Reaper regarding turbo boost and turbo failure!

Oww! I broke the same finger twice, within the span of a few months, last year and it is awful trying to drive with that kind of injury.

i had to retire, couldnìt get out of the gravel. i think i have a problem when a rear tyre stops spinning it gets stuck. happens also with the caterham. it was nice till i lasted.

Yeah the gravel can be a trap. You can set a reset button to put you back on track. Pity about the rain, as these cars on this track in the dry are a joy.
