I have tried DXT 1,3 and 5 and no matter what I do the car looks shiney.

The options I have are:

p.s. I am using GIMP.
I have never had problems requiring me to use PS

Ok problem solved.

I opened the DDS is PS and reconverted it in that and it worked.

Strange one I have never had any problems with GIMP before.
