2017 Ferrari SF70H Coming to Assetto Corsa

Following the recent poll to choose the final car in the upcoming 'Ferrari 70th Anniversary' DLC, Kunos have confirmed the new machine will be.... the 2017 Formula One car!

With the votes in and counted, the results checked and double checked, the final car from the upcoming Ferrari DLC has been confirmed as the machine raced by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen in the 2017 Formula One World Championship.

With one of Ferraris most successful Formula One cars in recent years, the SF70H has proven to be the most desirable car in a list of fantastic vehicles selected by Kunos Simulazioni, and as such will be added to the DLC line up due to release later this year for Assetto Corsa.

Could it be that we might have the 2017 WDC winning machine in AC before the end of the year, or will the works Ferrari squad find a way to throw away this years title challenge?

The Ferrari 70th Anniversary DLC will contain:

• 1962 250 GTO
• 1967 330 P4
• 1967 312/67
• 1984 288 GTO
• 2004 F2004
• 2017 812 Superfast
• Ferrari SF70H

The vote setup by Kunos pulled in over 30,000 responses before close of play yesterday, and not unsurprisingly the 2017 SF70H F1 car pulled in a substantial amount of votes more than second placed finisher, the 1970 512M. With 15.39% for the 2017 car in comparison to 11.41% for the 512M, it was always going to come down to the two "key" vehicles as voted for by the community.

Pretty much the car i was least interested from the whole poll. Seems a bit like a Chinese election, this poll. Can't believe so much people voted for this hairdryer. 2sec faster then pretty much the identical car we already have in the game. No one will be able to race it anyway (at least not in a sensible way)...meh.

The world is over. We are getting the 5th official Formula 1 car for any modern simulator, including the F2004 in the pack. We are getting the SF70H for Ferrari's 70th anniversary. We are getting one of the most advanced and fastest piece of racing machinery ever built.

I understand how somebody could have wanted an other car. As a Ferrari fan, I wanted them ALL. As a car enthusiast I want all cars. There are NO bad cars. The SF70H, just as many other cars listed, are not represented in a quality way in a modern simulation.

People saying we have the RSS... Regardless the quality of the mod, it is not based on official data and is not licensed. And people bashing ACFL for their quality should not start praising them just because they made the SF70H, now that they didn't get their beloved 512M. Furthermore, these are only mods available for PC.

People saying it's too hard, why are you simracing? Sit down and practice. You don't like a challenge? People saying nothing excites them in this pack... again, why are you simracing? Every car is there to be tamed, regardless of engine, gearbox, aero. Every car is a challenge, if you are on the limit. I may not be a HUGE fan of some of the vintage cars listed, but I will drive the **** out of them!

And some of dear, respected (no sarcasm, seriously!) modders on the forums I have read today, saying they will never touch this car because reasons and are sad for not getting the 512M... create it for yourself and the community if you have the time. I love cars, and regardless of voting for the SF70H, I will welcome it, just as many many others.

Come on guys, don't be so picky and be thankful we are at least getting some cars

Edit: Screwed up a bit, edited in a reply. Added the F2004 as the 5th official modern F1 car and changed RSS not being bulit from official data, it was a typo. Does not retract from the quality of the mod itself, but official data is official data.

This is not only boring for the ones that paid for the Formula Hybrid, but for car diversity too. I'd love some more youngtimer cars(Let it be the 550 or its race version) instead of the newest but not fastest F1 car. The 2004 F1 is the one I'm looking forward too and the classic road cars of course. If it'll be priced less than 8 bucks I have to buy it anyway.

Holy Jesus, if this thread is any indication then simracing is an absolute embarrassment. I would never want to associate myself with such a depressing and pathetic bunch.

Loving the tears from the simdads and the vote manipulators. Very much looking forward to the car. The last thing AC needed at this point was another terrible road car or a car that should've been added as a free update in the first place. And to everyone who mentions that this car cannot race against any other kind of car, multiplayer in AC is a joke to begin with.

The mod is awful compared to AMS's official 2017 car. Realism and good feel can only be gotten through the official cars at this point.

Everyone here with a heart, and at least a little bit of passion for racing, be it you voted for the '17 F1 car or any car in the poll - here is for you, here is what we all are going to miss as of the outcome to this poll - here is 13 minutes and 25 seconds of pure racing we will not see this time around:

To the voters for the '17 F1 car - I have been in disbelief, then slowly changing to anger and then to realization that it has been too beautiful to become reality to get as close to the above clip as we ever would have been.

Now I realize, no hard feelings. You have won. Good for you. I am happy you will receive a wonderful gift you wanted.

Maybe next time around we will receive Le Mans 12 cylinder glory and be able to fight the battle between Germany and Italy on the racetrack on another day. Until then …

What are you talking about? The RSS F1 car is (beautifully) modelled on the specs of the current F1 cars.

Do you honestly think Kunos are gonna test drive the 2017 car for hours on end to get it just right? If anything, BECAUSE of the Ferrari licence, the performance and handling of the car will be compromised.

the pack already got F2004 which got the v10 and IMO the best of the f1 engine sound of all time, then they add the vacuum cleaner sounding of that SF70H, should just remove the damn car off the vote list.....

or maybe they'll release the rest as part 2 of the ferrari pack.... it'll be amazing if they done it
