I ruined my own race by picking the Porsche. It was the car that bit me the most, the Ferrari being easy to drive, many were driving it and I figured since I wasn't going to really be in the race I should learn something. I learned to never pick that car again. I didn't even get to finish, everyone left and the event shut down with me still on the track.

I managed to ruin an event for myself all by myself!

@Max Melamed I had a brainfart when I said that Ford first victory was in 1967, it was a second one with MKIV. They won in 66 for the first time with the MKII 7 liter car. They did not win however right away, the first 2 years before that with MKI were not successful.

Just watched The 24 Hour War documentary, finally. I can't recommend it enough; it has to be the best documentary I've seen.

Now to complete the pre Le Mans bucket list, I gotta watch the 1971 Le Mans with Steve McQueen for the first time. Better late than never right?
