AC not accepting assigned keyboard press

I have L as default for headlights but for some reason it will not accept it, no error message either.
For it to work I had to assign a button on the wheel but as the Logitech 920 doesn't have a large number of buttons to begin with... well..
Any idea what I might have missed or is it just as it is?

Also the draggable clock plug-in, I does not show when driving. It does however show when I leave the game and seeing the info after?
