AC will only start in CM

If i try to start AC in steam it crashes, but not if i start it in CM. This has happened after i did a fresh windows install. Is there another way to use MR Vr googles without using steam or get them to work in CM?
Just rename the added file to .zip

Did find out what it was. Deleted the files in the documents folder.

"Crashes" means what exactly? Does not hang?
