AC with SLI

I was wandering if anyone is using AC with 2 Nvidia cards. I have a EVGA 2080ti hybrid, and I would like to get a tad better performance as in many occasions the game pauses.

My machine has 2 intel 9282, 1TB of RAM, 3 tesla for ML and Fluid dynamic modeling and EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 TI FTW3.

Someone posted an improved performance by updating from windows 7 to windows 10 . Although I dont care for win 10 I am going to upgrade this week.

I have win 10 WKs and it is all good. I do MUCH more intense computations than AC will ever do unless completely redesigned..mostly because AC is bound to a single core for most of its processing. Mostly I am interested in knowing if anyone is sucessfuly using dual or quad GPUs with AC/Shaders/Sol

I'm using 1080TI in SLI, with triples 1440p @100fps. When I tried shaders patch light, it had some almost ok overhead, latest full version performance was so bad it made no sense to use it.

Not sure if triples or SLI is causing the performance problem with shaders, have not tried sol.

i used to use SLI before getting a newer card. SLI works very well with AC.

AC without use of shaders patch works fine here as well, just with shaders the performance dropped (in the range -40%)

I might try to scale down a little, on some of the ultra settings and see if i can fix the pausing- stuttering. You would imagine a 2080TI would handle AC with shaders and SOL.
This is the first time I use a PC for gaming..and learning a lot about AC in this forum.
