AC wont launch using Content manager?

Hi, I've got a problem as per the title, If i launch AC through content manager i get the 'Steam API has failed to initialize' and it crashes, I can launch AC fine through Steam though, I have searched on google for a cause but nothing comes back relevant to AC and content manager, Any idea's? Any help appreciated, Cheers.

CM -> Settings -> Content Manager -> Drive -> Game Starter

Try those options with the pulldown. AppID works fine on my side.

Thanks for the help mate, AppID causes the Steam API failure message, If i use 'Official' on the pulldown it works but takes a long time to load! Cheers.

I've ended up doing a full AC and CM onto a new SSD as my SSHD was failing, All good now, Cheers.

How the AppID work? I´ve already googled it and i got nothing... If u could please explain what is it and how can it help fixing this error? Thank you very much

Just click it and all will be explained.

I can only start by finding acs.exe and starting as admin (right-click).
