AC won't start

If I want to open AC the little steam message opens that the game is starting, and when I go to Steam library it says that the application runs but the Task Manager doesn't say anything. I had this some time ago, I had to restart my PC back then so I did, but still nothing.

So the launcher doesn't even load?
What happens when you use content manager?

Yes the launcher doesn't load, I didn't try CM for sessions, it launches of course

Okay so with cm you're able to go actually onto the track.
Can you try to navigate into your ac installation and run the launcher manually?
So we will know if the launcher is the problem or steam screws the start up.

Anyway if the launcher just won't start I honestly have no clue. You should check if something gets written into the log files although I'm not sure if the launcher itself logs anything.

The launcher has its own logfile. $HOME/Documents/Assetto Corsa/logs/launcher.log

I restarted my computer the hard way as it crashed and now the launcher starts
