AC_Colours for Pure 0.30 - AC_Colours ppfilter for Pure 0.30

Very simple ppfilter I am using when I test out the new Pure weather script from Peter Boese. This will only work with version 0.30 of Pure that can only be had by joining his Discord channel.

All I did was take his stock PureEye filter and change a few numbers to try and accomplish two things. I wanted to brighten it up and I wanted to try and get the whites a little less nuclear. I didn't put much effort into this since Pure is so early in development and will change often...

racinjoe013 updated AC_Colours for Pure 0.30 with a new update entry:

AC_Colours for Pure 0.30

It was brought to my attention that the first version was overexposed. Not sure why because on my end it looked great, but I did some adjusting and drastically lowered the exposure number. Hopefully it looks better on other people's computers. The strange thing about this version is that on my end this is too dark when I first launch the game. I have to switch to another filter and then back to this one to get the brightness where I want it. It's totally opposite to the version I posted...

I didnt try your mod yet, but wanna share what I found in default pureEYE 0.3 - if car is cabrio/open roof I set exposure to 200% and its correct. When Im back to "roofies" xD car I set back to 100% - using keybindings ingame.

*I play on vr

Not sure why the other person had a different problem than yours, but mine looked great, just a bit brighter and did the overexposure if switching filters and then back, makes me afraid to try your updated version. :D

It's safe to try the new one. You will just have to do the opposite. It will start underexposed and if you switch to another filter and back, it will have the desired exposure. Or just keep the original one because they are basically the same. The only difference I can see is the steps you have to take to get the exposure set how I intended.

For some reason on my system using the keybindings never changes the exposure, even on older versions of Sol. The exposure slider percentage changes, but the actual exposure never does. The more I see I have issues others don't, the more I think something is not quite right with my AC installation. Problem is, I don't want to start over and have to try and find all of the mods and tweaks I have done over the years. I'll just stick with my buggy game and deal with it.

In VR I cant switch ppfilter ingame.

I discovered a show-stopping issue with the shelter, probably should have picked up on it sooner. I'm actually about to try your second version that I didn't really need to, but the first version makes my AC crash less than 10 minutes in with 100% consistency. I reversed quite a few other things that I did and updates applied on other things, then I tried switching to the pureEYE stock filter and the crashing went away.

Just tried the second version, same problem. This message. I have CSP 136.

Error might have something to do with:

AC\game.cpp (261): Game::update
AC\game.cpp (261): Game::update
AC\game.cpp (261): Game::update
AC\game.cpp (112): Game::onIdle
AC\game.cpp (210): Game::run

Yeah, I was having crash issues as well after about 10 laps ever race until I flushed my extension folder. Since then I haven't had issues but obviously something is not right. It's odd too because the PureEye works fine and mine is nothing more than the PureEye filter with one or two numbers changed. I guess those one or two numbers must cause some kind of conflict.

So if I flush my extension folder, that should resolve it? What exactly do I need to do to flush my extension folder?

I wouldn't suggest it, but the directions for it are in the Pure installation guide. The most important thing is to make sure you backup the extension folder first so that if it doesn't work, you can easily revert back. It's not that it hurts anything to do it, but you will have to reconstruct your sidebar app list ingame. I didn't notice anything else had changed.

Thanks. Latest beta of SOL didn't fix, so I'll have to try the flush.

racinjoe013 updated AC_Colours for Pure 0.30 with a new update entry:

AC_Colours for Pure 0.30+

Just a little tweaking for the latest Pure version 0.32 to try and brighten them up compared to the included Pure ppfilters. I must have a strange monitor setup because the included ones are so dark on my system. I have that problem with most ppfilters for Sol as well so I always go on the assumption that it's my system. It's so bad that I can't even use most of the really good ppfilters out there because of how dark they render on my monitor.

You should no longer have to switch to another filter and back to get the exposure right. Should work fine on launch of a session. Also, I ran 5 races with these and...

I find it interesting that many filters for your computer are dark as I have tried quite a few and I never noticed that myself, yet we had the same thing going on with the first version. I have my monitor set darker than average as well, but the only dark filter I could recall was the default pure ones, not that they're that dark, but they're dark enough to be notable. Thanks for this update, I will try it out and hope the crashing stops. I hadn't gotten around to doing any flushing.

Yeah, it's a strange thing. For instance I look at pictures and videos of people using the A3PP filter and everything looks amazing. Then I load it up on my game and it looks nothing like the pictures and videos. It's so dark it almost looks like dawn or dusk when it's noon time. Same thing with the default Sol and Pure filters. That's how I got started making my own. I needed something that looked brighter on my end. And this problem has actually run through two different monitors so it's not just the one I currently use.
