ACC not Starting " "AC2-Win64 - Shipping.exe" AC2 CreateProcess() returned 2"

Dear all,

I have following Problem:

If I start ACC the game returns a Error, see in Title and also in my Attachment.
I just bought it, played it and then it crashed out of nowhere. Now I cant start it anymore.

I already tried installing the newest Drivers & Checked the integrety of the files via Steam. Also I tried deleting the file which is mentioned in the error message and then do the integrety check another time, so that it got replaced.

All of this didnt work. Do you guys have any sugesstions what i could do, before reinstalling?

I'm having the same problem :(

Check your anti virus quaranteen, if your AV has false positive blocked it, its stopping it from executing, as you know the file is legit go into your AV software and make an acception rule for the file (or whichever the option is for your AV).

Same problem here, I'm very upset, I can't find a solution.

When I click on ACC nothing happens.

If you search for what IDP.Generic is you'll see it's either Avast or AVG. So simply make an exception in your antivirus for ACC, like Simsa said.

It doesn't seem to be my case, my antivirus is Windows' own, I don't have anything in quarantine and excluding ACC doesn't make any difference to me.

I also don't have a record in my documents since the folders are not created.

Judging by the contents of your video, I think you actually have an entirely different problem from the OP.

You might want to try the "Browse local files" option from within Steam to see if the installation folder looks correct, or just go straight to the "Verify integrity of game files"...

I already did this, everything is fine there.

If I run ACC as administrator, I get the same error:

AC2-Win64 - Shipping.exe

Ahhh... Your video showed the thing you mentioned above, i.e. "nothing happens". Perhaps you truly do have the same problem

I don't understand what you mean by this but it may be a clue.

I mean that when you open the game for the first time a folder of the game is created in "my documents" and saved games, configurations and errors are stored there.

But in my case, since it doesn't try to start the game, this folder is not created.

I can't find a solution, tomorrow I'll try to install on another hard drive

So you seem to have an issue with MyDocuments folders not existing for ACC? And so this has nothing to do with antivirus? Because this topic is about antivirus and you said you have the same problem as the topic starter. Please be as clear as possible. Different issues have different solutions. And if so, this deserves a separate topic ;)

I don't have a problem with my documents folder, my problem is that ACC won't start.

Open steam, browse the local files of Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Go into this folder: Assetto Corsa Competizione\AC2\Binaries\Win64
Make sure the AC2-Win64-Shipping.exe is NOT set to run as admin.

Hope this is the culprit.
