ACTI - No in-game app option

It seems I'm the only one who can't get ACTI to install...<sigh>. Here's the steps I've taken albeit not many....
1. downloaded (ACTI) Assetto Corsa Telemetry Interface 1.1.2
2. Extract the acti sub-archive to your "My Documents" folder. For me this is D:\Documents. I thought it a little odd that the extract created an ACTI folder with an ACTI subfolder but nothing in the instructions said otherwise.
3. Extract the acti_trig_cntrl sub-archive to your "Assetto Corsa" folder ("D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa").
4. In Assetto Corsa, go to Options->General and enable the acti app. Unfortunately, there is no option to enable the acti app.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the app doesn't show in AC it's likely because it has been extracted at the wrong place, the documents folder I'm not sure if it matters I think you point to the exact folder later in the step anyway.
