With development of the upcoming Washington State DLC well advanced, SCS Software have given us a look at some of the rather feature filled new locations from the expansion.

Set to add Washington State to the rapidly growing American Truck Simulator title at some stage in the not too distant future, SCS Software have recently explained to their fans some of what to expect from the new map location, an area rich with many different types of industry that will feature within the DLC.

Of course, those familiar with the region will appreciate that agriculture is one of the key industries of Washington State, and it is not surprising that SCS Software have chosen this as something of a centrepiece for the upcoming map build. With much focus set to be applied to the large farming industry, including new trailers and features to support this industry inclusion, SCS have today given us a closer look at some of the farming locations due to be added to the title.

The upcoming Washington State map expansion will feature many farm industries that will not only include growing just crops, but also those that specialise in other produce such as pumpkins, tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables.

Just as important as the produce grown are the farmyards themselves, which can vary from large companies with many acres of fields, to small country family farms. Essential to their operations are the structures which occupy the land such as greenhouses, silos, and most importantly, shelter for the livestock. On your travels, you may even come across farm animals such as pigs, sheep or even large buffaloes known for roaming and grazing, or just enjoying the sunshine.

All looks very nice from the previews showcased so far, and the new expansion should add a very welcome change of scene within American Truck Simulator. Looking forward to it!

ATS and ETS 2 are both available exclusive on PC now.

Why?

They didn’t include the homeless underneath the 405 in downtown Portland either although we “should” be known for that by now. Probably one of the biggest immersion-breakers in the game other than Salem being an outlier of PDX. Oh wait, that IS real life here.

are they ever going to fix the ffb or the dumb AI? no? ok maybe next year.
Dumb AI? Sorry but that is way too exaggerated. They have their moments, yes
but in general AI is far from bad. If you have experienced too much crashes
than i have two solutions for you: Either learn to drive properly or don't drive
drunk in the future. Or why else is it that i don't have such a problem with them
at least?

never experienced any crashes with ai, they are just stupid, they ignore you and ignore traffic lights, simple as that.

anyway thats not that much big a deal for me, the thing that annoys me the most is that after so many years the ffb still dosent work! (and ya i have the plugin)

Shimon, i think you deserve an apology. My reply seems a bit harsh, a little
overdone. But i can simply not agree with you that AI is stupid like you said.
If you use the blinker properly then they don't ignore you, they wait for you,
and they respect the traffic rules most of the time. Like i said, AI has their
moments, especially at roundabouts or toll booths, but overall AI is
fine enough.:)

If they do Seattle they need to add our tent cities under the bridge by the Emerald City Convention Center. =o)
