AI is much slower at Spa after a certain update?

I bought the game last summer and I spent most of the time racing at Spa with AI skill set to 100. At that time the top 4 or 5 AI were usually able to set lap times under 2m19s in qualification, which was pretty close to real life lap times at Spa. After a certain update however the AI have become significantly slower. Now only 1 or 2 AI are able to set lap times under 2m20s under the same condition. So in general the AI are now over 1 second slower than before at Spa, which puzzles me because I think the AI's racing line and braking points are pretty much the same as before.
