AI Open Practice Times

Been doing some open practice times in several different F1 mods. As I work on set ups it usually takes me 25-30 laps to get the car where I want it, but I've noticed no matter how quick I seem to get I am almost always slower than the AI cars in the same practice session.

For instance, I was setting a practice lap time in the '85 F1 mod at Monza that would have put me third on the historic grid for that race, yet I was the slowest of 4 cars in the open practice with the three AI cars all quicker than me.

Is this a quirk in GTR2, or is there a way to get the AI to put up realistic practice times in line with the historic times of the mod you are using?

Ai should be set for every driver/car so it should be set for every new mod you install but the point is that most mods have either no driver AI or bad ones, very few mods have got both driver RCD + good AI.
Moreover GTR2 was designed for GT cars specs so F1 mods should have modded AIW to suit F1 specs : you can find many f1+tracks packs for rfactor (I mean modders have made a complete package like CTDP or F1 TOTAL) but it is rare on GTR2 as modders often make a car mod without dedicated tracks and give you standard track links to download instead :(
So no, it is not a quirk in GTR2 but only bad mods made with feet :D
