Alfa Mito QV -

Butzemann

... Quick but without hastiness ...
Hi folks,

recently I inherited an Alfa Mito 1.4 Turbo Multiair TCT Turismo from my mum (... she always preferred to drive fast:cool:). The car has "only" 135 bhp (top speed around 210 km/h, but in comparison to the QV the rest is pretty much the same. I have driven my mito now over a distance of around 7.000 km - city traffic, highway and countryside. The best place for the mito is a winding road on the country side.

The real suspension is hard and stiff. If you hit the brakes, the car´s front does not dive down noticeable. Cornering thight curves with higher speed does not lead to a tilt of the car body. There is no understeer, even under throotle.

The gearing, specially with the double clutch gearbox, is stepped quite narrow. Results in a quick run up through the rev range - this without any delay.

A Mito QV is part of the car rooster in AC and my impression from some laps is, that it has not much to do with the real mito to be honest. The suspension seems to be to soft and the engine is rather tough and fights his way through the rev range - powerless. I have not checked the data yet, but there seems to be a flaw in the speed ratios of the gear.

Might be a topic for a mod ...

Cheers

Update:

in the meantime, I have extracted the data.acd file and checked some entries. It seems, that there are some flaws IMO:
  • Speed ratios of the gear
  • Up- and downshift times (the TCT shifts rather quick within 0.1 sec, not 0.25 sec - even in sequential mode)
  • Turbo boost and wastegate pressure are a bit low
  • Suspension settings (toe in/out, chamber - even at the QV the chamber ist fixed)

Cheers

@Andy-R: Sounds a bit like ... "If you make nonsense with the joystick, nearly every airplane will crash". The power and steerlevel is comparable high, from which the real car might tend to slightly understeer.

The Mito in AC is a manual, so I guess it won't simulate TCT and the shift times with paddles you get in game will be the standard you get when shifting any manual car with paddles, not necessarily the car specific timing. No idea if there is a difference in gearing ratios.

It seems to be manual, since the drivers shift animation looks
accordingly. But in the description of the car in AC it is stated, that it is fitted with the TCT gearbox. In the real car there is no difference in shift times between the automatic and the manual sequential mode. And yes, the implemented gear ratios are faulty.

You're right, but the description is wrong in this case. If you look at the model in the showroom, there is a manual 6-speed gearstick. Content Manager tells you as well on the loading screen.

There may be differences in gear ratios between TCT and manual.
