The Romeo Ferraris team have released first pictures of the highly anticipated Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR racer due to compete in the TCR International series next season.

With original plans to make its race debut in 2015 season finale at Macau postponed, the team confirm the latest model built to the TCR concept is now ready to hit the track.

Costing around 98,000€ + data acquisition, Romeo Ferraris aim to produce around ten Giuliettas by April 2016 for customers to purchase and race in the many regional champions running under the TCR concept next year.

With further development of this prototype machine trusted to former WTCC pilot Salvatore Tavano and Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance regular Mario Ferraris,

“It has been hard work, because we had in mind the target of running the Giulietta before the end of the season,” admitted CEO Mario Ferraris. “Finally the first car was completed and the engine tested on the bench with promising results. We are now ready to begin the technical development on the track.”
