Just read the news over at GPUpdate.net, very exciting.
This left me with a question however...
The car he's going to be driving, the Ligier JS P217 for Zak Browns team United Autosports, is a LMP2 car.
If he wins his class with this car, but not overall (because there are faster LMP1 cars there), will that count towards the Triple Crown he is chasing?
This is of course if there even ARE any LMP1 cars next year, isn't Porsche the only team left in the sport? Will Porsche race if there's noone to race against? Anyone heard anything about other entrants showing interest in LMP1?
Could he actually become the overall winner in a LMP2 car, if no LMP1 car starts the race (I mean retorically speaking, technically he CAN be if the team finishes 1st no matter the class).
