AMD/Nvidia GPU source

Given what you know about AIB partners using cheaper components and processes during manufacturing...
Are you more or less prone to buy direct manufacturer cards from Nvidia and AMD?

Neither more or less prone. nVidia and AMD set a minimum standard that I'm comfortable with when buying a base/reference card. Factory overclock cards from the top tier AIB partners are also good. And then, with a base/reference design not from nVidia or AMD, I stick to EVGA because of their reputation (and it might be time for me to discard my over-a-decade grudge against Asus, LOL).
