Apps Anyone help on SOL plus New 1.72 Rain Effects patch

Hi i am trying to activate the Weather Effects in game.

I have Installed SOL and the patches plus i was a patreon to the new Weather Effects patch (lights patch 0.1.72 preview)

I start up a race and select enable effects,the menu appears as expected however when i click on Rain/Snow/Thunder etc etc....nothing happens at all.

It might change the colouring of the sky but no rain effects on windshield or road at all.

Any help
