Are the BMW 2002 and Ford Lotus Cortina available ?

There is a Lotus Cortina of questionable origins over on the F1 Classic Forums. Look for the "Small Block Hero Conversions" thread. I have no idea how up to date it is, but was alright - but not great - back when it came out.

Never seen a BMW 2002 that wasn't complete garbage (except the ones in the DRM pack )

Oh how I have longed for a Cortina to go with the GTA, I loved that car in GTL! We have so many Loti but none of the right ones

It would go great with the Ford Escort RS1600. Then again imagine what a blast it would be to have all the HistorX cars !

The Escort would be way too fast for the Cortina, unless there is one similar spec to the Alfa GTAm or GTA-SA... Elan 26R maybe or something like 1970 911 ST 2.3 *drool*

From what I've read the Lotus Cortina touring cars started off around 140bhp and ended up around 180bhp (to keep up with the Mustangs) and weighed around 800kg so why the expectation that it should keep up with the Escort? A BMW 1800 TISA maybe but no chance against the powerful 70's Escort.

The Cortina is meant to run against the Alfa GTA. The Escort is another league entirely.

i tried the Cortina mod yesterday as a grid filler (to go with AC Legends, which is a good grid filler when you're in the Kunos 911 Carrera RSR 3, BTW).
It looks pretty bad so I deleted it.
Didn't drive it as I figured it'd probably be crap and couldn't be bothered wasting my time.

The Cortina is meant to run against the Alfa GTA. The Escort is another league entirely.

I ran the Escort, GTA, Fulvia and Cortina against each other at Monza - the Cortina was 2-3 seconds slower than the GTA and 1-2 seconds slower than the Fulvia

Cortina was my favorite car to drive in the HistorX mod, some of the most fun I ever had in any sim racing car.
