Are you listening to hip hop music ???

Currently the world music trend is Hip Hop and has born many famous rappers with many songs with very good melodies. Anyone with the same interests as me ??? Recently there is a WAP post by Cardi B with that category which she has a lot of views on Youtube. Everyone who has Hip Hop songs can comment more below !!! thanks everyone!!!!

No. And I don't like the trend. I am a fan of melodic songs, but currently the trend is going in a different direction. Same goes for the song you mentioned.
Pop music more often than not is purely based on percussive elements instead of chord progressions and melodies. Same goes for the performance of the vocalists: There barely is any form of melody, most of the time its 'staccato' style, staying on one not with few exceptions.

In addition to that, pop music more than ever is an industry. I think its clear to see, hear and feel, thah the artists and producers produce songs and albums to generate money instead of creating work of art coming from the heart. Id rather listen to older songs or from smaller artists. In addition to that, the lyrics dont appeal to me at all.

I mean, each to their own.

Regarding hip hop, i prefer a more old schooö style. This one has a fantastic flow because of the upright bass + the sax is very funky, too.

i agree but its not just rap, its all pop, rock etc like tey take pretty girl from street, give her text to sing, make catchy beat, then by program make her voice to sound good and recording and pleb buy it lol thats all music now in radio or tv. lol katy perry cant even sing live etc i dont know even how many "artists" cant sing live lol but i just know it, i dont listen to em, but sometimes i turn radio in car and then i know whos on top now and i suspect them cant sing live
