Ariel Atom V8 mod - no FFB

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help. I've installed the Ariel Atom V8 mod, and the update from RD (I've followed the instructions correctly). It seems great, but I have basically no steering resistance at all. I get FFB from kerbs, impact etc, but the steering is incredibly light, when I'm guessing it should be pretty heavy.

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong please? This is from the HDV file:

After some fiddling I've noticed that if I set "FFB low force boost" to 100% I get some feedback (although it's a bit rough and clunky). I always have that setting at 0% for all other mods and get great feedback (using a Fanatec CSL Elite).
 
FFB works fine for me--same as always. It looks like your strength setting got reset to default, though. Here's mine:

The MaxForceAtSteeringRack=-2500.000000 setting might not be correct for the car. Did you put that value there based on some recommendation? If not, then the correct way to get the appropriate value would be to use MoTeC, record telemetry for a few laps and then check the value of steering arm force the car generates and adjust the above mentioned setting accordingly in your RealFeelPlugin.ini so you don't get too much clipping, but still use the available dynamic range of FFB as much as possible.

I could probably check that for you if I find some time and don't forget, but no promises.

2500 is the default, as I just mentioned above.

Between 500 to 1000 seem to be more plausible values for this car. What is yours set to?
 
Well, so I did take a look at it, because I'm always interested in these things, and...

Yeah, the FFB definitely needs adjustment. It's not correct at all. At the very least, as suspected, you need to change the MaxForceAtSteeringRack value for the car to something like -800 or so. You can experiment with values between say -700 and -1000, where -700 means heavier FFB (and more potential clipping, though still quite limited) and -1000 means lighter FFB. I found the value of -800 to be a reasonable middle ground, and you are still unlikely to get any clipping when driving, except perhaps for some kerbs or when you hit something.

It has to be said, thought, that this is only part of the problem. The FFB still feels kinda weird, with certain things being quite pronounced (road banking, bumps and such, also the way the steering goes light under certain situations), but other still a bit subdued (like the actual steering forces). But I have no idea how to fix it, if it is even possible without editing the car mod's physics - maybe it's like this due to the fact the mod was made for GSCE? But then again maybe it should feel like this for this car, after all it's kinda unique.

One way I have been able to achieve FFB that kinda feels better in certain ways was to lower the FFBMixerRealFeelPercent value for the car from the default 100 to say 70-80, but as you can guess, while it does equalize the FFB, it also kinda takes away things you'd probably want to keep. So it is a balancing act. But it's the only suggestion I have so far if you find the "road FFB" too strong.
