Art of Rally for Switch... no custom controller configs possible?

So I just got this for my Switch, but first test drive was rather cut short because the controller setup is so unusual that I have a hard time adapting to it. Shoulder buttons (digital) for brake and throttle, gears on the A-B buttons... and I can't change any of that. There's also some driving helps that can't be turned off at all, just turned down (like that automatic countersteer thing)

I'd like to set it up similar to Gran Turismo with the left analogue stick for throttle and brake, and the shoulder buttons for gears...

..is there any word on if this will be possible at some point? Is it possible in the PC version?
