TL98_RD submitted a new resource:

ASR 1990/91 Update chunk - Some tinkering for 1990, EVEN MORE BoP for 91

Cars involved:

1990 Ferrari 641
1991 Brabham BT60Y
1991 Benetton B191
1991 Ferrari 643
1991 McLaren MP4/6 (Late season as well)
1991 Tyrrell 020

changelog:
Lowered RPM to the MAX POWER one
Tweaked ai and gearbox upshift & downshift values for all cars
Tweaked manual shifting milliseconds to match VRC's Jordan
Tweaked shifting milliseconds for semi-auto cars (brabham & tyrrell)

Weird stuff:
Somehow, despite having the same Hewland 6 speed semi-auto gearbox, the Brabham has a higher top...

Thank you for sharing this. Looks useful.

What is the purpose of all this? Is it to fix inaccuracies in physics or to BoP the different cars with each other.? And to BoP them with VRC’s 1991 Jordan.

TL98_RD updated ASR 1990/91 Update chunk with a new update entry:

Giga upgrade

All 1991 cars have now a smooth power graph using rfactor's f1 1991 as a reference

No updates for 1990 because the formula 1990 by RSS is plenty good

All DFR-powered cars have the same power graph based on the hart-tuned one

Mclaren: used the belgium-spec v12
Ferrari: used the 291.5 (or 291.6 idk)
Williams: used the RS3B
Dallara: used the improved Judd GV

i guess y'all know how to update the ui so i'll give you just the numbers in the attachments

minardi: ...

Only Ferrari and Williams in 1991 had semi-auto paddle shift gearboxes, no other teams. Regarding Tyrrell/Brabham differences in top speed with same gears (and I guess power), maybe one has slightly lower aero drag than the other.

@TL98_RD please discuss with the ASR guys for these updates... they are not happy for this kind of things, but if you discuss this thing with them porbably they will allow you to do these reworks and make them public. Plese speak with them via discord, they are really open but they must be adviced first, otherwise they will contact the RaceDepartment's admins and they will delete all these resources...

i already have an escape plan, trust me.

besides, their mods are below average and the fact that they hid their whole mod behind a paywall is not helping out; many sim racing youtubers stated that asr formula mods are below average mainly in terms of physics
