The second track from the upcoming British GT Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione has enjoyed its first image reveal earlier today - introducing Snetterton!
  • First ACC British GT Pack DLC Snetterton Previews.
  • New DLC schedule to launch Feb 10th.
  • Contains 3 tracks and multiple liveries.

For me personally, I've never quite gelled with Snetterton - be it the slightly bland look of the circuit or the combination of corners on the (reasonably) recently re profiled track - however in the hands of the team at Kunos in ACC, it looks like they have put together a very, very impressive virtual recreation of this high speed British circuit.

In case you missed the post from yesterday, Kunos have confirmed the British GT Pack DLC will launch this February 10th for PC versions of the Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation, and will come packed with the three new tracks (Donington Park, Oulton Park and Snetterton), over 40 new liveries and 70 drivers from the British GT Championship - including a Championship mode within the game structure.

Superb looking header picture. Apart overly idealistic sharp lines separating different grass mowing lines.

You are obviously unfamiliar with British precision mowing. :p

EDIT: As this is RaceDepartment, where all-out war is but a misplaced comma away, I feel compelled to explain that the above sentence is a joke and is not to be taken seriously. :coffee:

That is not really unrealistic, this effect is easy to create if you mow one row in one direction, and the next row in the opposite direction. I used to do it every week in my garden ( when I used to have one back in the day)
Anyway, if you have time to notice the grass when you're racing, you're not driving fast enough :)

I notice everything everytime :D

I didn't mean the mowed lines being unrealistic, but their edges are too perfectly sharp.

Incredible attention to detail from the groundsmen. They even removed the barriers and marshalls stand before they set to work.

There is only one sector where the developers of GTR3 can be ahead of ACC developers :p and that is the announcement of the prize money. ACC team only announces the DLC prices the same day of the release ^^

With the difference ready that the content comes out...
Yes and the expensive prices from RR, just tell me where you can buy a dlc with 11 different cars paying 15'99€ (GT4 DLC) on RR? or maybe if RR can sell you 4 láser scanned tracks for 20€? Oh wait they can't

Former gardener checking in, yes such mowing patterns can be achieved with a good heavy cylinder mower, but it depends a lot on the density of the grass. Doing that with a Hayter Condor is difficult though. We need to ask the devs which lawnmower they were simulating!
one of the first games i ever played on a computer back in the early 80s was a game running on my brother's commodore 64 where you had to first steal your neighbour's lawnmower and then mow as much of your garden as possible before he came and tried to stop you. I think the dialogue starting the game read something like: "Good old Alfie, he's a decent chap, he won't mind ..." Developers probably played that taking a break from doing Snetterton graphics.
