Assetto Corsa Competizione V1.4 delayed

One of the devs said that the V1.4 will not bring nothing especial...but iam wating for the livery editor to be mutch more complete! Because yesterday there was some amazing liveries in the race. But we that paid and play the game everyday dont have that "privillage".

Iam sick of your delays and bad comunication with community!

Lots of little updates have been released lately, the game has reached such a qualitative level that words like this sadden me and are based on nothing, "I want my toy or I make a nervous poop"
I hope that after this crisis certain behavior will be found
the way.

I'm in a whole different field of work, but i can tell you that the whole corona thing causes issues and problems with every piece of the chain you both can and can't imagine. It should be possible for most people now to understand that its a big thing going on right now, and working from home doesn't mean that we move the exact same productivity from the workplace to our homes.

The reasons for this are much different than that. The sim works on a lisence, and neither the devs or the players are free to do whatever they want. Things like sponsorships suddenly carries over, and a system where you can create whatever you want can easily violate various agreements. When i bought the game i can't remember any mention of being able to edit liveries at all, so we can hardly complain about "What we paid for" and "Privillage".

Just be glad that you paid for a specific GT3 series sim that now continues to get new tracks, new cars, GT4 and a livery edtor at all. I feel that i got MUCH more than i paid for. Everything from before the intercontinental GT challenge and forwards is just an added bonus in my mind.

I worry about some people. How does a livery editor add to a simulator in any way.

There's so much content to enjoy already.

What? Wasn't 1.4 supposed to be a pretty big patch? What's going on?

No it isn't, and why should it be?
They didn't even have to release any DLC and give you an option at all to buy them, so there's that.

Edit: Come to think of it, it's like buying a new car and expecting it to evolve and get updated for free over the years.

I was referring to your statement "I feel that i got MUCH more than i paid for". That sentence doesn't make any sense considering that you have to pay for the new cars and tracks.

It's very possible to feel like you got more than you paid for something... if you spend time actually using the sim rather than complaining about free new stuff coming down the line.

The sim costs little more than a couple of tickets to the cinema... the DLC probably the same... how much time do you spend in the cinema versus playing the sim?

Quite a few things that were planned for 1.4 we already got them with 1.3.10. This happened because the SRO competitions were announced and this altered Kunos plans. The physics changes of 1.4 were therefore pushed forward in order to be tested before the competition started. This is why the devs sais that 1.4 will be a lighter updated than what it was planned, because part of it we already got it.

Also, this same competition is what has delayed 1.4, but knowing Kunos, they will maybe push now more functionalities to this patch with the extra time they have.

In a case where someone claims everyone got more than what they paid for, you would be right. But me being happy with a feeling that I got more than I paid for isn't wrong at all.

It can for example be translated to: I took these random drugs and felt like i was flying.
And that's different from: I took these random drugs and i was actually flying.

Adding to this, i bought the sim at it's first early access release for $25. I can't remember any game for that price that has given me this amount of playtime. The 2. season that was added a while back, gave us a whole set of new cars for free on top of the original release by the way.

'I feel' as opposed to 'We got'.

Hmm let me understand: so you just got 1.3.10 and 1.3.11 on April 15 and 17, two weeks ago, and 1.3.12 a week ago. They came with lots of skins, bugfixes and other features. For free. You do not even know what is in 1.4. You decided it has a livery editor. You complain because you didn't get it. Good luck.

Are you one of the Devs? Or one of these people that goes around snitching on the locals to the police for breaching their 1.5 meter distancing requirements and feeling like a social justice warrior? Just curious.
