I am assuming this extracts the tyre, brake and other data of cars so it can be used to give accurate info in the apps, ProTyres, Race Essentials etc

Well those are apps that work on runtime, they already access shared memory..... so still not getting what it does

I've done the ProTyres extraction and what it did was to extract the .ini files to the ProTyres folder, so now all the cars I have work with the app correctly. Otherwise, it's necessary to extract data.acd to have those files in some mod cars.

For example, I have the data files for the 1971 Pantera done by Pessio, both from the "proTyres Ini & Lut Pack " by Jens Roos and from this app. The 5 files extracted are the same.
