Notes: After a long season my components began to wear, so I opted to take 3 new parts at the cost of 15 places on the grid. I skipped qualifying and started from the back on softs, while everyone else was on ultras. Made up 8 places on the first lap and made my way through til I found the force indias and red bulls. Helped by a safety car and others pitting, I found myself in 2nd, with lewis pulling away. I ran my softs for ages, til lap 35, which by that point I was struggling to fend off Perez and Ocon down the pit straight.
Came in for supersofts and ran them til lap 60 when the safety car came out again. I was trying to one stop, but it was a big ask, so I switched to ultras and came out just in front of Kimi, and behind Bottas, Perez, and Lewis. Saved tons of fuel with Lean during the safety car, and on the restart I quickly caught and passed Bottas and Perez. Lewis took a few more laps, but with Rich and fresh Ultras (to his worn supersofts), I was able to reel him in and unusually pass him on the last corner. Nursed it home for the last two laps, with Lewis trying to make a comeback. Save fuel wherever you can. Hell of a race, lots of fun.
