Reiza Studios have released version 0.9.0r for Steam Early Access title Automobilista Motorsports Simulator.

With a nice selection of tweaks and changes included in the update perhaps most exciting of all is news from the studio that both the Boxer Cup and Virginia International Raceway are close to making their debut in the public version of the build.

Although not available in version 0.9.0r backers of Reizas' Crowdfunding campaign or members of the Reiza Membership package have access to a non public beta version of the title that runs alongside the Steam public beta game. With Friday's release of 0.9.0r (changelog below) made available for "standard" owners of the game those who have the private beta as part of the crowdfunding or membership package privilege can now access the new 'work-in-progress' content prior to finalisation and release on the public version of the title.

As Automobilista nears completion and exit from Early Access status the team over at Reiza Studios are hard at work bringing new content and game enhancements to finalise a game that is already arguably one of the best sim racing titles on the market currently.

Full changelog details for version 0.9.0r below:
  • Added new alternative sky/cloud texture sets + function to randomly load different sets in each session.
  • Tweaked tire scrub / skid sound logic to generally improve audio feedback.
  • Adjusted tire volume slider to go up to 200%.
  • Partially disabled advanced tranny code for sequential boxes while some remaining bugs are ironed out.
  • Reprofiled dashboard displays for Supertrucks & karts.
  • Repainted skins for the F-Reiza cars.
  • Updated Mini & Camaro championship track calendar.
  • F-V10: Added Soft tire compound and made it the default option.
  • F-V12: Removed duplicated teams from v0.8.9.
  • F3: Corrected fuel consumption.
  • Supertruck: Removed redundant engine boost effects which were mistakenly left on.

I've been lucky enough to test the new car and track tonight being a backer in the crowd funding scheme and the car and track are very nicely made. I need to do a few more miles in the car but it's a welcome addition to the game and the track is just so nice to drive I can for sure see it being used in future events/leagues

I for one can't wait to see what else the guys are gonna bring to us all I can say is keep up the great work :)

tested today and with every update things gets better and better.
Reiza Team is working hard and delivering great value content and features for AMS ;-)
If you didnt tried it yet; i truly recommend; so many good cars and tracks with great ffb and physics overall.

This is a small detail but brings something, I think. I did 2 quick tests only but having 2 different nice looking cloudy skies bring some more immersion imho. Bright blue skies are great but not realistic with all the tracks outside Brazil that the game features now! It also shows that Reiza is putting care in smaller details.
I'm also lucky enough to have tried the car and track: both are amazing, I will certainly spend a lot of time with them! The car brings different physics, you can fell the rear engine without the fear of spinning… Very precise. Track looks lovely and has a great flow. I must admit it was quite unknown for me (I remember an old version from n2k3, years ago…) so I will need to learnt it. The longest version start to make me think of a US Nordschleife, am I the only one?

VIR is fun and challenging; so many curves, off camber and plenty of dips to upset the car; I had too many off's to remember.:)

The boxer is nice and I especially liked the gearbox behavior and sounds; felt like driving a proper race car. It's somewhat competitive with the V8SC but, handles the curves quite differently as you'd expect and I can really feel the difference in the steering when the car un-weights - good stuff.

I have to admit I'm a bit underwhelmed by the new sounds for tyre skid/scrub.

They sounded more complex, dynamic and less synthetic before. Without exaggerating, in the older versions it was a blast to skid around and listening to the tyres being tortured, now it's the ears. It also sounds like the sample rate went down, resulting in a tyre squeal that could have been used in 1990s' games. ;)

Am I the only one with this? I tested this on the Mini, Opala and Brazilian Stock Car.

Reiza are doing such a great job with this title ! Lately AMS has been my go to sim. I really like almost all of the formula cars. And running the stockcars with ai @120% on the Brazillian tracks gave me some of my best ai races ever. Cant wait to test out the Boxer cup car ! Keep up this amazing work you doing Reiza.
