After almost 3 years I'm back on my wheel, setup AMS2 and straight to SV8s on Adelaide, got my venerable Forza3 CSR dialled in and had a blast (gamepad just not the same). switched to hards and beJAYsus it's difficult.
Really struggling to find consistancy, I can do (don't laugh ) 1.28s-1.29s (fastest so far 1.27.5). Thing is I can only do about 2-3 laps at that pace, then I start losing grip (which isn't exactly massive on the hards) and do 1.30-1.31s, then the grip is gone and if I don't spin out I do a 1.35+.
I love the challenge of a heavy powerfull car (jumped in at the deep end I suppose), so I'm having fun. But I'm not undestanding why the grip seems to drop off a cliff after those 3 laps. I thought hards were more durable, just less grip, yet these seem very prone to overheating and catastrophic grip loss. Havn't done much with the setup apart from brake bias more to the front to stop me losing the rear on braking and shifting balance to the rear a bit to get more weight over the rear axle. Any advice on taming this beastie?
