Basically all the great things that made GTR2 a milestone: Multiclass. Rain (weather variety in general). Realistic day-night transitions for endurance races. Driving school (great for beginners). Fully-animated pitstops. A user-friendly (detailed) setup UI and Online lobby (with easy to setup/share/admin online servers and/or support for Simracing.gp. And, (an absolute must): MODDING support, (including easy to share setups and custom liveries for online events).
On top of that: a track builder (like V-Rally 2's Track Editor) plus native VR and motion rig features.
