A couple of weeks ago I dug out my old Wingman Formula Force GP wheel, boxed GPL and GTR2 and got back into sim racing after many, many years. I'm amazed at what sim racing has become. I bought AC and RF1 on the Steam sale, installed all the GPL mods, added Power & Glory to GTR2 and am, having completed the GTR2 driving course, read for some racing...
I turned 10 (probably the prime age for getting interested in racing) in 1964, so my main interest is in racing cars and tracks of the 50's and 60's through the mid 70's. You know, Fangio, the movie "Grand Prix", Ford v. Ferrari, Jim Clark, etc.
So my question: what's the best sim for historic content? I'm happy to use several, but would like to know if there's one that would be most rewarding in terms of visuals, physics, and availability of lots of historic cars and tracks.
Thanks!
(Yeah, I know I'm going to need a better wheel.)
