Best way to buy GSCX for a friend.

I would like to buy GSCX for my daughter's boyfriend (and her as well). However, I would like to make sure that if I purchase the game they are not tethered to my email for eternity.

I want to pay for it, make it a surprise, but also make sure that he gets update emails, can request new keys should it be necessary and generally should not need to have me around in the future in order to manage the game.
