Tracks Best way to texture two tracks merging together?

Hey all. I've been working on some updates to my Monticello Motor Club track and I've been banging my head on the wall trying to figure out how to texture my track where two sections come together at an angle. I've spent hours searching for an answer but I can't get any good ideas....

Any tips or tricks from a seasoned UV mapper that may help out a complete noob....

Using a road texture with “grooves” in it is usually tough to deal with in those instances. Using a flat, simpler texture for the road and then adding the groove with an alpha channel on a separate mesh on top works much better IMO, and you get better road intersections.
