I have found that in Novice,you can lower down the Ai to below 90, but you have to deal with the training wheels getting out of the garage and onto the track. I can't seem to keep up with the AI in Semi Pro settings at 90. Now sure how to fix that.

You can turn off aids in Novice and semi-pro. The only one you can't turn off in novice is the pre-heated tyres.

How do you turn off the one that allows you to leave the garage and get out on the track in novice? I know about the aids. Was trying lower down the AI below 90 in novice.

You can do that by editing with notepad SETTINGS.DDB file located in GameData folder : look at AIStrength= and AUTOPIT= values for each skill level
