You can change the position of the camera by modifying the file "cameras.xml" but you'll not be able to save anymore.

Your times,your career progression will not be saved anymore.Racenet (Multiplayer)will not work.
I also noticed that if I want to change a setting in the options,it doesn't save anymore.
The last configuration before modifying the files is saved.
You can always go back to a clean installation by checking the integrity of the game in Steam.
