The Porsche 968 Turbo RS did not come with a lot of Sponsorship to the first BPR race.

The cas was driven by the Norvegian team owner Erik Henriksen and Justin Bell from England. The car was entered in the GT3 category, but did not perform that well against the Porsche 964 RSRs. It outqualified very few of the GT3s, but it could hold the GT4 (cup cars) and the GT5 (trophy cars) behind it. In the race it performed worse and did not finish.
