BPR Mod Help!

Hi all,

First time post, but hopefully someone out there can help! I downloaded the BPR V2.41 Mod, but despite having installed into the appropriate GameData folders, when loading into the game the car models don't show up. You can select a car and go trackside with no crashes, but when you jump in to the car, it gives you the Maserati safety car model instead of the proper cars.

I've scoured Google to see if anyone else has run into this problem, but haven't had any luck, and despite having used mods with GTR2 for years, I can't see anything out of place on this occasion! I'm using a clean install of GTR2, so I know it's not a clash with another mod. I just want some of that sweet McLaren GTR1 Gulf goodness!

Thanks in advance,

Ash

I don't have it installed but I could try. ( still have 2.40 version ...but not reinstalled yet ).
For me it's rather strange that with 766 downloads here at RD for that 2.41 version ... there isn't any word about such a problem in the comments or discussion.

I just installed it and it's perfectly working ... so I guess ( as I already thought ) that you made a mistake when installing this mod.

The base folder of the zip file is "BPR_GGTS_2.40" .... not sure but I suspect you should have installed this folder in Gamedata, what should not be correct... and this should be the reason for your problem as the game cannot find the right files at the right place.

As the other subfolders of this Zip are "Sounds" and "Teams" + loss files ..... ( without any subfolder Gamedata first ) you need to copy the content of the BPR_GGTS_2.40 of the zipped folder into the Gamedata folder of your game....

I didn't try in Steam version ... but I don't see why it shouldn't work there ( except for Porsche and Ferrari if you didn't do the necessary to show them there )

EDIT:
- also working in Steam version
- the usual problem of a zip file built .... the 1st folder of a GTR2 zip should mostly be Gamedata ... but as it happens here there's not even one single Gamedata folder in the zip build .... so that's the reason why a not accustomed GTR2 user might do the mistake when installing.

Always check the folder structure of a mod zip is the first step before installing ..... that's the lesson not to forget for next times. ;)
The only way to avoid bad installs ... as this complete file structure is often forgotten.

And glad it helped
