I recently bought a button box but the buttons on it represent existing keys on my keyboard is there a way i could make the buttons their own individual buttons rather than keys
Looks like your button box is made with a keyboard controller pcb .If that's actually the case and you have basic soldering skills then you can replace it with something like an arduino pro micro.You can find instructions on youtube. Here is one example.
