Buttons in toolbar disabled

Hi, for some reason most of the buttons in the toolbar above the message input box (i.e. the place I am currently typing this message) are disabled for me. When I inspect the source, I can see they all have a class of 'fr-disabled'. e.g.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hmm, that's weird.

When I log in as a regular user, I get this:

which doesn't sound like it's what you got. Is it still happening?

Oh hang on - did you by any chance choose "Toggle BB code" and then forget about it, like I do every other week?
