Can one set Audio to 5.1?

Hi,
Just bought a 5.1 Logitech speaker system and a Sound Blaster Audigy Soundcard
I can't find anywhere you can specify either stereo or 5.1.
The problem I have is really annoying: For instance, driving on the straight at Monza, the most sound comes out of the left front speaker, then suddenly changes to the right on then other times its in the centre.
All connections tight. Works great in ACC and RR3 and Win 10 etc but not AC

any ideas??

Wow. No replies at all!
Doesnt anyone use a 5.1 system and a Soundblaster card? Bit disappointing really.
Anyway, update; not all car audio gives me trouble. For instance, 488 GT3 is ok as is Mercedes-amg. Not the Mclaren though. Terrible. So, a temporary fix is......don’t use the Mclaren 650 GT3!!

I have a Recon 3D but I think it's broken as sound changes speaker during game play. I'm not sure AC has a 5.1 option as not played it in ages.
I know rFactor 2 does, but I dont think it actually works.
I currently have my 5.1 AV connected via optical cable from the motherboard now. It will only output 5.1 if the title, be it a movie or game, has 5.1 surround as a feature.
Windows 10 may be the issue too of course. Soundcard was working fine before a bunch of updates.
