F1 2019 Car swapping to FOM model

So Guys, I'm new to the whole modding scene and i want to make my own custom liveries. I read through all posts and people seem to agree that the FOM car is the best to work with.

I started with watching this tutorial:

So i changed the FOM car to my liking and now i need to swap the McLaren Car with the FOM car, but I just can't get it to work!

done the steps they told me to make but it didn't work.

As i didn't work with classic cars I just used this tutorial as a guideline but it still doesn't work!

So can someone tell me exactly which files I need to replace/change?
Best would be if someone could make a quick tutorial on how to replace the 2019 cars with the FOM car, as I'm sure alot of people would find it very helpful.

Maybe he or she can set up an patreon or something and I would be glad to support the person!

It's the exact same as any other car simply with the assetgroup included. Seems like you've been trying to do the correct things but maybe made some mistake somewhere. I recommend you just use the files that come with an already existing mod (such as my Vodafone McLaren mod).

I have the chassis pkg file in the folder for the manual installation and you can just copy the assetgroup from the paste side if you can't make it work by making one yourself.

Also could you specify what exactly doesn't work when you try it? You say "didn't work" but does that mean a game crash or just the car looking weird or what?
