Cars with handbrake?

How could I know what cars in this game have working handbrake? Is it possible to have information on screen about this with any app?

It's not possible automatically, you could hardcode an app by testing every car's handbrake and see which work.

It would be great to have an app which displays a warning when trying to use a non-existing handbrake. It would be informative and helpful, instead of leaving the user full of doubts. We already have that useless and annoying down-shift protection warning, so why not this?

Kunos will not do that for desupported now sim.
You may ask some modders to do that if you are willing to sponsor, or learn some python yourself.

It's not a rally sim anyway, and my guess the only handbrake support is meant for drift cars.

I have tried that and the handbrake bar is displayed when I enable the pedals app. However, it never raises, no matter if the current car has a working handbrake or not. Is this a bug? Can you please check out if yours is working?

It's this parameter in "data\brakes.ini", default for Kunos Audi quattro Rally is 100

you can see to what you want to set it like, when looking at normal brakes "MAX_TORQUE"

(note1: rename or delete "data.acd" to use your own changed version from "data" folder)
(note2: doing this will invalidate your online check with this car)

I only have the data folder with the brakes.ini file for a few cars. If I delete the data.acd file wouldn't the game be loosing a lot of information? I mean the file is 200 kbs aprox.

Could be wrong but after that Audi was released it was confirmed by Kunos that this model variant (Audi Sport Quatro S1 E2) did not come with e-brake.

sure, you would have to unpack "data.acd" first...

oh an "emergency" brake, wth you english speakers really dont have all cups in the cupboard.
I counter with p-brake.

So thats what its about! .... I actually spent good while trying to figure out why my hb doesnt work when I race in S1... always thought its a game bug or some strange server feature, neverthought about 4wd issue. thanks
