Does anyone know what needs to be edited so that the cars in this mod have engine sounds as I get no engine sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Or is there a fix for this?

Have you downloaded the whole thing, or an update patch. There are various versions of the mod floating around. Be aware you may have just downloaded an update or another iteration/version of it.
The sounds work fine from the mod posted here at RD. You probably want to ask your question in the support forum of that mod and maybe tag the author as well.
