I went to my first hill climb event this weekend, at the Chateau Impney in Worcestershire, England.
The event was originally run in the 50s and 60s before it was scrapped. It was started up again in 2015 and after seeing the event coverage on TV I decided to go this year.
It was a fantastic weekend, with over 200 vintage and classic cars tearing up the 1000 yard road towards the Chateau, (as well as a few un-timed demonstration runs by a 1991 Benetton F1 car, a Ferrari Enzo, a Bugatti Chiron, a few old Audi Quatros, a few McLarens...). It was great to watch dozens of Maseratis, Bugattis, Ferraris, Lotus, BRMs, ERAs, Coopers, Alfas, AC Cobras, and lots of really old cars that must have taken balls of steel to drive that fast!
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event, especially being able to wander around the paddock getting up close to those wonderful old (and new) cars.
If anyone lives near to Droitwich I would heartily recommend going next year
Here's a link to a few photos and videos if anyone is interested
