Cleaning Alcantera Wheel

I got a new Sparco wheel about a month back and have been using it without gloves as I waited for a set of gloves for the holidays. I figured I could just clean it and it would not be a big deal but it has been challenging to restore. Got some Sonex leather and alcantera cleaner and a detail brush and have been going at it for probably two hours now without too much improvement. Any tricks to the trade in cleaning wheels? Any products you recommend? Kind of kicking myself for not waiting for gloves before using the rim with my sweaty mitts.

I picked up a second hand TM 599xx rim and the alcantara was really grotty, properly ingrained with grease and sweat
I used elbow grease and gentle scrubbing with a microfibre cloth and it all came up perfectly clean with minimal effort, left it to dry out before using and it's been fine since. In the UK elbow grease is readily availble from B&M or similar, have a search around.

Photos of the wheel half way through cleaning for grossness :D
